The etchant consists of 36% o-phosphoric acid. It is used to etch enamel to increase adhesion and maintain dental restorations. It prevents the occurrence of the marginal fissure. It can be used for chemically and light-cured fillings, fissure varnishes and orthodontic fixed appliances, as well as wherever the method of etching with phosphoric acid is applicable.
Due to the high risk of the etchant coming into contact with the soft tissues of the patient’s mouth, as well as the possibility of its absorption, ARKONA made sure that the ingredients used in the preparation were completely harmless. These ingredients, apart from dentistry, are used, inter alia, as food additives. These components are selected in accordance with the requirements of the following European directives and standards: 94/35 / EC-OJEC-L237 / 3, 94/36 / EC-OJEC-L237 / 13, 95/2 / EC – OJEC-L61 / 38, JECEFA (FAO / WHO, 1996).
