ENDO-PREP gel is intended for chemical and mechanical cleaning and preparation of root canals . Due to the lubricants contained in the preparation, the work with canal tools is facilitated and the risk of breaking the tool in the canal is minimized.
Disodium edetate works by reacting with the mineral components of the tooth’s hard tissues. By absorbing mainly calcium from the tooth canal, disodium edetate softens the tissue and facilitates the mechanical drainage of the root canal.
Application and Properties:
- It is used in the chemical-mechanical cleaning and preparation of root canals.
- It contains lubricants that facilitate the insertion of the tool into the canal and minimize the risk of its jamming or breaking inside the canal.
- Disodium edetate (EDTA) contained in the preparation by rinsing calcium and magnesium ions softens the surface layer of the dentin, making it easier to remove it and restore the root canal.
- Perfectly matched gel consistency guarantees ease of application and the possibility of placing the preparation directly on the canal instrument.
- The use of luer-lock syringes guarantees safety during application – the syringes have a luer-lock thread that allows for connection with the needle by screwing it on the syringe, the luer-lock system is the best protection against accidental spillage of the preparation during application.
Procedure: Isolate the treated tooth with a rubber dam. Fill the tooth cavity with the preparation or place the preparation directly on the canal instrument. Mechanically prepare the canal by rinsing it with sodium hypochlorite solution (eg CHLORAXiD).
Available packaging: 5 ml syringe, set of applicators.
