Light-curing, radiopaque universal composite for aesthetic layering with a reduced shade palette.
Essentia is an innovative concept that is no longer based on the traditional Vita® shade guide, but on a simple set of seven shades designed to mimic natural teeth of all ages. Each shade of Essentia is a unique combination of performance and optical properties. The dentine shades differ in the color saturation and the degree of translucency, according to the changes occurring in the natural dentine with the patient’s age. Enamel shades ensure optimal translucency and introduce a vitality effect to the restored teeth. The masking liner, thanks to its liquid consistency and high filler content, allows to cover imperfections and discolorations with a thin, opaque layer.

7 shades for 90% of restorations
3 dentine shades for color saturation and opacity: LD (light dentin), MD (medium dentin), DD (dark dentin)
2 enamel shades for translucency and vitality: LE (light enamel), DE (dark enamel)
1 universal shade for all small posterior restorations and restorations: U (universal)
1 masking shade for masking discoloration: ML (masking liner)

• Dentin shades & universal shade:

Moderate stickiness and excellent color matching effect due to the micro-hybrid composition. The Universal shade is thicker for easy application in the posterior region.

• Enamel shades:

More translucent enamel shades give the effect of vitality. They ensure high gloss and higher abrasion resistance thanks to the combination of ultra-fine and prepolymerized fillers with high strength parameters.

• Masking Liner:

The density enables injection and the perfect opaque conceals imperfections. The ultrafine filler particles are evenly dispersed inside
the resin matrix thanks to the unique surface treatment technology of the filler.
